Bangalore, Jul 20: India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has heaped praise on India Under-19 captain Unmukt Chand and said he is an "extremely talented" player.

Yuvraj, who was recently named in India's 30-man probables list for the ICC World Twenty20 2012, has come back to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for training. He is focused on getting back to the Indian team at the earliest after missing action for more than seven months.

The left-hander, while training at the NCA, watched the India Under-19 World Cup players and had few tips for the youngsters as they embark on their trip to Australia next month in the hope of bringing the Cup back. India Under-19 players are attending a preparatory camp at NCA and will be here till August 2.

Yuvraj, who himself was a part of the India Under-19 World Cup winning team in 2000, led by Mohammad Kaif, spoke about his experience then. Yuvraj was the Man-of-the-series in that tournament in Sri Lanka.

When asked about the current Under-19 squad and the players in the team, Yuvraj said Chand and Manan Vohra both were "extremely talented."

Yuvraj said: "Unmukt Chand and Manan Vohra are extremely talented players. Listen I don't judge by the number of runs or wickets, I judge by seeing how they play, you pick up the clues. These two look good and they have a good future ahead."

He added that India were a strong team. "It is a strong team and we have a good chance."

On whether the players will be under pressure during such a big event, he said: "You are representing India but I wouldn't say it's too much of a pressure. You have to enjoy it and handle it. During the tournament, you have to stay away from other distractions and play well. Television coverage is important and the boys will be excited by it and that mental pressure has to be handled. I would play the games and then watch the highlights. It was fun! You score 30-40 and then come and see yourself bat. It was exciting."

This year's ICC Under-19 World Cup will begin on August 11 and concluded on August 26. India play their first game on August 12 against the West Indies. India are in Group B. Zimbabwe and Papua New Guinea are the other two teams in the group.
